Butterflies:

  • Silver-spotted Skipper - 4
  • Wild Indigo Duskywing - 1
  • Least Skipper - 8-10
  • Fiery Skipper - 1*
  • Peck's Skipper - 5
  • Southern Broken-Dash - 1 (worn; on butterfly bush)
  • Sachem - 30+
  • Ocola Skipper - 1*
  • Black Swallowtail - 2 males
  • Eastern Tiger Swallowtail - 2 (1, a dark female)
  • Spicebush Swallowtail - 1 (male)
  • Cabbage White. - at least a dozen
  • Clouded Sulphur - 1
  • Orange Sulphur - only 3! (one, a white female)
  • Red-banded Hairstreak - 1*
  • Eastern Tailed-Blue - only 3!
  • Variegated Fritillary - 8-10
  • Pearl Crescent - only 1!
  • Common Buckeye - 2 (one before start of trip)
  • Red-spotted Purple - 2
  • Monarch - 4 adults, at least a dozen caterpillars
